Code Search for DOS has been sold since 1989. During its 14 years, the display module has been continuously modified to accommodate newer databases as medical documentation needs have become more detailed and complicated. Code Search for Windows was introduced in 1995 as medical systems began to migrate to the Windows platform. Code Search is currently being used throughout the country in medical offices, clinics, hospitals, major medical centers, nursing facilities, the armed forces and government research facilities. Many billing services, insurance companies and medical computer software vendors also use or incorporate Code Search into their systems. Updates are annual, with the ICD9 availabilty in September.
