The alphabetic ICD9 database is unique to Code Search. The entire ICD9 Volume
has been specially rearranged and reorganized to be "User-Friendly". There are no inclusions, exclusions or other clusions. Only the most highly specific code for that diagnosis is displayed. Help files
and rules are automatically displayed. Diagnoses are cross-referenced and can be found by description or synonym. Searching is based upon clicking on the Search button and typing in 4-7 characters of the
diagnosis. Only the most specific code comes up for that diagnosis. If there is a “See” and a description in green, click on the green and it immediately brings you to that area. If the code is
red, it will either automatically give you help
or if there is an equal sign after the code, then an extra digit is necessary. You can double click on that code an get the available choices for that code.
